Any Questions?

Life is a curious adventure...

1. Do you have any plans for the summer?

2. If you had the chance to go anywhere in the world, where would you go?

3. What is you favorite childhood vacation memory?

All of this has very little to do with chickens, however, they do have quizzical and questioning looks regarding the cat who really wasn't at all interested in them.

  1. 1. Plans for the summer... All of my summer plans either happened or fell through last week. I need a new set of plans.
    2. Today I would go to Nova Scotia and visit my favorite mom in law who has long wished for us to visit. A trip to the seaside would be a bonus.
    3. One (there are many) of my favorite childhood vacation memories is our trip to Maine where we stayed with a couple we'd met camping. They had a house on in South Bristol on an island just over the South Bristol Bridge. It sat on a point directly across from the Gamage Shipyard at the end of Fire Road 17B (I looked it up on Google maps.) My sister and I stayed in a little house by ourselves apart from the main building. We played along the shore, enjoyed boat rides with Bill, and one night ate lobster for supper. We walked though shops, bought souvenirs, and went sightseeing with Mom and Dad. I learned to love the smell of the ocean and the feel of an ocean breeze. I also got sea sick. It was a once ina lifetime vacation.

  2. 1. No plans for the summer, just working. I would like to make a trip up to Oregon by the end of the summer, but I fear the little one won't travel well because she only likes to sleep in her bed.

    2. I want to go all over the world, but Italy is at the top of my list. I wish I would have had the means to travel when I was younger and a bit less attached. It's just not as realistic to do it now when bills need to be paid.

    3. Almost every summer we would drive to Texas to visit my aunt and uncle. They would spoil us rotten by taking us to places like Six Flags and Medieval Times. There was even one summer where they took us all to California to Disney and Universal. Lots of fun!

    2. I would love to go to the Canadian Maritimes. Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, New Brunswick and Newfoundland.

    3. My girlfriend and I set off by sea from Australia 52 years ago to see the world.........and we did........and I met a fella, married him and ended up living in Canada. That was quite the vacation!!

  5. 1. I will be going to the Adirondacks the weekend of the 29th. Also working a bit. Trying to catch up with people I haven't seen in a long time. Julie (cousin) and I are planning on getting together.

    2. I'll go to Nova Scotia with you. I'd also like to go to British Columbia to visit Friends who moved there.

    3. There are so many that it is hard to choose. I think just feeling safe and secure growing up happily with my family at 65 Mohawk Street. Something as common as sitting at the dinner table together is a good memory.

    1. It is hard to choose favorite memories. I loved our family walks at Webster Park even though it wasn't far from home. And home was always nice too.

  7. 1. A visit from a dear friend from NY, a fabulous Mad Hatter Birthday Party, a Trip to Tahoe with stops along the way.

    2. Right now with all the terror in the world, I'll stay at home. I guess Heaven is not in this world. But I plan to not only visit...but live there.

    3. Bass Lake...every summer. swimming, fishing, boating. My dad loved to camp out. So we "roughed" it. Good memories.

    1. Visiting you and Don was a highlight this year. (I have a couple photos to drop in the mail...) So was having my entire family here last week.
I refuse to let terrorism keep me home, but I don't have any plans to travel abroad either.
We "roughed it" too. Dad loved camping and he didn't believe in "taking it all with us" either.

  8. 1. Plans for the summer: Paul and I are going to San Francisco in August to visit our son Aaron, and also taking a few of the kids to Lake George to an amusement park. I hope to go to the beach a few more times too.

    2. I would like to go to Israel, Australia, and Ireland/England (one day in London doesn't count) That's more than one place, but I can't decide.

    3. Favorite vacation as a kid: when we camped at our cousin's house on Owasco Lake...the adults let us just run wild, play in the creek, hide and seek in the dark with the cousins...just the essence of childhood.

    1. The beach sounds like a plan. Maybe I should gather a grandkid or two or three and head for Fairhaven.
Loved the days of being able to run wild as a child.
