The Pumpkin Patch

In some ways I have a more manageable Pumpkin Patch, in some ways... In other ways they present new challenges. They call me "Grandma"... The other day I decided to pull back the cover and let them play in the sandbox. You'd have thought I'd offered them gold!

Maybe it's worth sand in my couches...

  1. I think the sandbox was one of my favorite things to play in when I was a girl. We had one in our yard when I was around 5-7 years old. We made entire villages there with tunnels and stairways. So fun!

    1. The sand box was my favorite too. Sometimes we had Matchbox cars to drive through our tunnels and park in our driveways.

  2. Never had a sand box, but your kiddies look like they are having such a good time...and Betsy..sweet memories of her sand box. I guess living in Santa Barbara for 6 years was my giant beach sand box.

    1. I suppose if I had a beach I might not have needed a sandbox either. Maybe they'll have one at the retirement home.

    1. Thanks, Linda. Most days I do okay. I guess it would be even sadder if I didn't miss her, wouldn't it?
The sandbox is a wonderful thing.

    1. It hasn't consumed me nor do I expect it to. It's just so very different than it was when my father passed. I guess that kind of takes me by surprise.
