Six Out of Seven

I liked this Mother's Day. It was full of children, big ones and little ones. The whipped up an impromptu lunch and set to work cleaning out my flower gardens, and I got to catch them all in one rare photo besides.

Bethany, Dave, Josiah, Ben, Hannah, and Nathan. The only one missing is Jim. Maybe we'll catch him in the next one, eh?

  1. How nice! Is that Leta I see there too?! I love group shots like this. You needed one of you with your six that were there.

It was a tough Mother's Day for me, tougher than I expected that's for sure. Not only as it the 1st without Mom, but I got no acknowledgement from my kids. I tried to pretend it didn't matter, but the tears fell at night. Oh well, life goes on and Jesus loves me.

    1. I'm sorry it was hard for you. I felt the emotion of missing Mom while writing about her on Saturday night, but the day was busy enough to keep me preoccupied. And yes. Leta was here too and that was really special. Hopefully your kids will soon learn that a little goes a long way on Mother's Day. A card, a kiss, a flower or a gift card. They mean more than our kids can ever know.
I love you, Rachel, and I think you are a great mom.

    1. Thank you, Catherine. I suppose with impromptu gatherings there isn't enough time to get stressed out over whether or not the house is clean, and I know it certainly wasn't by the time it was all over.

    1. I still remember the first stranger who commented on my blog. I was a little freaked out back then. ha ha! Hard to believe now.
Seven from Heaven... That sounds like a good blog title, although they're hardly angelic.
