It's not been quite the weekend I had envisioned.
Unmet expectations often bring disappointment and frustration, and this makes being flexible an absolute necessity. I had imagined my house quiet and uninhabited for a full three days, but that was not to be. Instead of staying home alone in our house Saturday evening, James and I headed out to Home Depot and Jo-Ann Fabrics for some time alone. (As if that weren't exciting enough, we took his big van through the car wash on our way home.) This afternoon, since the house was once again occupied, we took a drive and then went to see a movie. "Saving Mr. Banks" is a tearjerker and I needed a good cry, so it was the perfect choice.

Dave and I just saw that last weekend. We liked it, and I agree, it was a little bit of a tear jerker.
ReplyDeleteThis was a very uneventful weekend. Tomorrow will be a runaround day with a trip to the orthodontist with Steven in the morning and then our visit with Tim. Then it's back to work on Tuesday...seems like I was just there.
My weekend flew by. Never even got a chance to clean the house. Oh, well.
DeleteI've been wanting to see this movie, but think my dearest wants to see the war movie. Maybe I'll just go alone. Had a nice day with Myk and Chelenne, and saw Kaleb before heading back to college.
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty sure even you dearest would like Mr. Banks. James even said he'd go again.
DeleteNot a movie that catches a guys attention but well worth the 2 hours really enjoyed the movie but I am a sucker for these kinds of movies anyway. It was a lovely afternoon with my sweety!!
ReplyDeleteDid James go INTO Jo-Ann fabrics with you? WOW
ReplyDeleteWhat did you buy???
He calls you "my sweety"....gotta love that♥️
Cheers!
Linda :o)
Yes, he did go in. :)
DeleteI bought sewing machine needles, bobbins, bias tape, and some ribbon.
We had more fun last time and bought cake decorating supplies.
We went to see that movie as a family over Christmas break. We all like it.
