Spring is on it's way and it's already feeling warmer and more hopeful. I took a walk after work yesterday afternoon. Down to the woods at the Dead End, on around the biggest block, and back home again. two thirds of the way around my feet and legs were tired and achy. Once I was back in the house, I climbed up on my bed for a rest. "Hey Siri," i said to my phone on the nightstand, "Set a timer for 45 minutes." And then I went to sleep. Forty-five minutes later I pushed the rest button and slept for another 45. LOL! Work is going good aside from not getting full time hours. My bills are paid but saving money is tough when one is living paycheck to paycheck. They keep saying that hours will pick up when business picks up, which was fine in January but is getting old now. I'm hoping I won't have to look for alternative employment.

Sounds like a great walk...but old the feet!! Napping was a good solution. I'm beginning to have some trouble with my knees, especially the right one. Up and down the stairs....but It's not too bad...I can live with it. Getting old has it's limits, not for sissies!! HaHa
ReplyDeleteYou are doing great, Wanda! Stairs are tough on knees. It's probably for the best that my bedroom isn't in the attic anymore... You are no sissy! And I love your treehouse!
Delete...how are folks getting their coffee fix?
ReplyDeleteThe regulars are still coming in every day. (It's crazy what people will spend on coffee!) But after the morning rush things quiet right down.
DeleteI sure hope business picks up for you too.
ReplyDeleteI know completely how it is living paycheck to paycheck on SS every month. We barely squeak by but we are doing it and the bills are paid..nothing going into savings though. SIGH

The good part of working for Dunkin is that they are everywhere. It wouldn't be hard to stay a winter in Florida (if I so desired...) and work while I was there. I'm keeping the thought in the back of my little brain.
DeleteGood thing we know how to keep the spending to a minimum, yes?
