The Snowy Deep
This morning I dressed two little girls in jackets, boots, hats and mittens, piled them into the car, and set off for town where we picked up Colton before heading to preschool. I was late for Ladies' Prayer at church (again). I wore my boots too but remembered to tuck my slippers into my purse. I wore them at church...
It takes a lot of looking to find something under my eyes. Or at least it is that way. The pictures you took are pretty nice, I think.
ReplyDeleteThe rescue beacons were small but about the size of a paperback book. It was very small in size back then but the I remember going to the supply room to pick out some transistors used in it and they were at least a 1/2 inch tall and 3/8th of an inch in diameter and those were small. Now they get a whole computer on the surface of that transistor. There was another beacon too. It could be spoken into and the rescue team could hear you and answer. I don't have any pictures of it that I drew.
I especially love the first picture of the pine tree! The snow is laying like frosting on a wedding cake! Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteActually...I'm a little jealous of all the snow you got. (just a little) It is funny what a big difference 30 or so miles makes.
ReplyDeletecool looking tomato stand and frosted tree. Is all lake effect snow light and fluffy?
ReplyDeleteNo, not all lake effect snow is light and fluffy. It all depends on the temperature. The warmer it is the stickier the snow. Fluffy snow is good for making snow angels and sticky snow is good for building snowmen.
